What things are needed to start a blog?

    Hey bloggers, what are the basic things required for creating a blog?
    Also it will be great if you can share some advanced tips. ;;)

    If you don't want to spend money, then you can try free online blog creators like WordPress.com or blogger.com
    But if you are planning about serious blogging go with your own domain and hosting.
    You need these things:
    domain name,
    Web hosting
    WordPress installation
    and at last content :)

    Markus is right, you need only two basic things to start a professional blog.
    Domain: 10$/year (try name.com)
    Hosting: 3-10$/month depending on hosting (We use hostgator)

    I want to add one more thing to the list of basic things that you need: patience, a looot of patience. It isn't so easy as it seems.
